Making Sense of Memory Loss Online

Developed by Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging and the Alzheimer’s Association, evidence-based Making Sense of Memory Loss Online helps those who care for someone in the early, middle, or late to final stages of memory loss, whether or not that individual has received a diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease or related dementia.

Participants learn how to:

  • increase knowledge about the causes of memory loss and to promote a medical evaluation

  • assist in adjusting their attitudes and behaviors in relation to the person with memory loss

  • increase self-efficacy with respect to present and future caregiving tasks

Classes can be accessed 24/7

Classes begin the first Monday of every month and move forward at weekly intervals, encouraging discussion about new topics each week.  Participants will read course materials, participate in discussion boards, surveys, and live chat sessions. Some classes include watching videos or recorded training sessions.  Participants only need an active email account, Internet access, and a computer.
