What's involved?

Once registered, students receive their student access information via e-mail. After logging in, they will have a opportunity to explore their online course room. Once the eight-part course begins, classes move forward at weekly intervals, encouraging discussion about new topics each week.

Participants can log on for a couple hours each week and read course materials, participate in discussion boards, surveys, and possibly live chat sessions. Some classes may include watching videos and listening to relaxation exercises. Each week, participants are directed to chapters of a guide book chosen specifically for this course.

Technical Requirements
The minimum technical requirements for Empower Online are Internet access, a computer, and an e-mail account. Special software and hardware are not required. Plug-ins are available at no cost. Free technical assistance is available 24 hours a day via e-mail.
