![]() Section OverviewsSelf-care Module 1 – Caregiver Role: Principles of caregiver self-care and responsibility are introduced. Module 2 – Time Management: Steps are presented for effective caregiver time management. Module 3 – Managing your Emoitions & Reducing Stress: The focus is on identifying and applying constructive tools for caregivers dealing with difficult feelings – especially fear and sadness. Module 4 – Health Promotion (Wellness): A discussion on the importance of activity and nutrition. Recipient-care Module 1 – Normal & Abnormal Aging Changes: The focus is on the myths, realities and images of aging. Normal aging changes and common health issues are discussed. Module 2 – Communication & Navigating the Health Care System: Steps are prensented to help caregivers understand and communicate more effectvely and professionally with medical professionals and co-workers. Module 3 – Finances & Legal Issues: Issues of financail planning are presented along with Medicare and Medicaid. Module 4 – LTC Planning & Advanced Directivess: Presentation and issues of living wills and DNR orders.
