The research and education team at Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging, provides our staff, families, and residents access to the most recent and advanced training and education for those with memory loss.

We understand the needs of older adults with memory challenges. Our Memory Support program addresses this through a combination of:

• a one-to-one approach
• activities based on individual interests
• permanent nursing assignments
• high staff retention rates

As a result, residents thrive on consistent and strong connections with our experienced and compassionate staff.

We focus on person-centered care, emphasizing ability over disability and strengths over limitations.  From our programming to our décor, every effort is made to make residents feel at home, safe, and comfortable.  Extensive personal assistance is given to each person, if needed or desired.  The staff-to-resident ratio in this special care program is one of the best in the residential care field, allowing staff to spend more time with each resident.
